BCS has extensive experience in designing and implementing protocols for testing of devices, formulations, and surfaces for antimicrobial properties. We utilize ASTM, AOAC, AATCC, in addition to customized protocols for evaluating antimicrobial efficacy .
BCS conducts GLP based disinfectant and sanitizer efficacy studies. The studies are conducted under a strict quality assurance plan and utilizing highest levels of quality control. They follow EPA guidlines and protocols for testing of sanitizers and disinfectants (see: EPA Efficacy Requirements for Antimicrobial Pesticides)
Additionally, we provide laboratory services for disinfectant and antimicrobial development and validation studies. Our studies determine the efficacy of the inactivation of pathogens in environmental liquid and solid samples and inanimate surfaces. We test for the inactivation and survival of enteric (fecally shed) and respiratory microorganisms. These include: Helminth ova (Ascaris), parasites (Cryptosporidium and Giardia), enteroviruses, rotaviruses, adenoviruses, Influenza A, H1N1, noroviruses, parvoviruses and many others.
We can customize studies for clients and accommodate testing based on their budgetary restriction.
